Jimmie Owens brought together over 150 years of musical experience with a talented mix of rhythm and style. Growing up in East Saint Louis Ill. Jimmie Owens began his career in music with his brother Hilton Owens. Both brothers came to California in the mid-forties and became involved in the development of that West coast Jazz Sound. As a drummer, Jimmie Owens played in the Big Bands at the famous Central Avenue Dunbar Hotel, Club Alabam and several other locations in the Los Angeles area.
